I have started painting again after a long hiatus.This is my first new complete piece.

Title: pending - Acrylics

This shows the intensity and build up of obsessing over intrusive thoughts, with OCD. I'm in a wonderful place right now. Painting this gave me a chance to show empathy to myself.
There is a figure against a wall, mouth open wide, with an upset look on their face. Their head is partially burst open against the wall where smokey tendrils are protruding out, representing intrusive thoughts. The figure is wearing a t-shirt. The paint strokes on the shirt and the figure are layered to abstractly present the subjects in an energetic, vibrant image.

I'm going to start painting again soon and reawaken the visual artist in myself. Art school led to burnout and after my backpacking, my Energizer bunny battery got recharged!!!!!
