and i think it trains the viewer to realize how EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF LIFE is also dependent of someone else's work. like, electricity, gas and water supply, gasoline, clothes, packages, trash, slabs of stone... not sure if it was just me, but i found it very marxist in that sense (which is a plus)

i love how it addresses work alienation, in the sense that she THINKS she is independent, but she literally DEPENDS on other members of the working class, and it takes an empty supermarket for her to realize that (and i don't even think she realized it)
