The Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) has an Education Committee that supports colleagues teaching animal behaviour from schools through to higher education.

This 2025 competition is for young people to design a poster that contains images and information about the animal behaviour of one, or multiple species of non-human animals.

You can draw, paint, sketch or digitally create artwork that captures, describes and explains the behaviour of animals. There are no restrictions on the type of drawing, painting or poster that you create, it must include information on the behaviour of the animals you are highlighting. The winning infographic in each category will be published in our scientific journal Animal Behaviour.

Day 1 of the Nature watching like a scientist workshop was great! Endless questions, outdoor activities, a talk on variation, campus walk. The kids had fun and so did we. @asab.org @asabeducation.bsky.social

The Royal High School & Edinburgh College attended our plenary talk at The #ASAB24 winter conference. Malin Ah-King, Associate Professor in Gender Studies -Örebro University, brilliantly answered the students questions after her talk and then the students went on to judge the ECR’s posters.
