Slide Film Sunday:

Ercilia's Restaurant, Mt. Pleasant, Dc. A neighborhood staple. Another exposure from my Phoneix I as slide positives collection.

The positive was a bit dense so my scanner struggled with it, but I hope the beauty shows thru.

Will 2026 be the year of 16mm for me? Maybe! Enjoying the format a lot, may be making a forray into 110 camers soon, but need to get a better technique for scanning. The line on the bottom is from the film curling up on the flatbed.

First roll of 16mm color film!

Still learning how to not overexpose everything with the subminature camera. I also have not figured out a good technique for flatbed scanning these yet. They're dusty too, but it adds character.

Trying something different. I've been working on a zine "Slides of Life" about how I came to my photography hobby, why I love it, and slide film in particular

Most of the drawings still need a lot of polish, but Im happy with the last page asking "why shoot film in the digital age"

One of my favorite DuPont circle area buildings, the old Nat'l Assn. of Broadcasters building has a neat curve to it that creates an inviting space at street level.

Thanks @mjrichards.bsky.social for the Minolta 16mm camera! It's loads of fun and easy to take anywhere. Loading/handling microfilm is a challenge and I need more practice, but I'm having fun

It's snowing again in DC and I'm begrudgingly taking a snow day. The midwestern part of my brain that wants me to work to death is unhappy with this, but it's an opportunity to do some creative things.

Reaching back to the only rolls of slide film I've had lab developed. Honestly, I like doing it myself better.

I was having a difficult week last week, so I took @nessagray.bsky.social 's advice and went out with a roll of film to shoot the whole thing. It was over two days since there's only like 15min of daylight now. I also redscaled the film to see how Fuji 200 looks in red.
