Working in DC in the 80s I ate lunch at Farragut Square & often shared food w/homeless folks. Visited DC last week, saw few homeless but 30+ National Guard, DEA, TSA & IRS officers & a schizophrenic fellow curled up in a ball saying "I just want someone to hold me". I wish I had given him a hug.
