I think it's worth pointing out "they" really aren't the teams that made either ICO or SOTC.
Only 5 of the developers who worked on SOTC are credited for Robot and one of them is a special thanks, which I suspect means they left the production.
So it's only Ueda-san and 3 others.

They are working on a new title and it will (very likely) be on PC, considering its publisher. Look into 'Project Robot' by genDESIGN.
So good. Wish they'd bring these games to PC. or just make a new one... It's been nearly ten years since The Last Guardian!

It's interesting how a lot of the materials we've seen for ICO are notes from meetings while as far as I'm aware we don't have a single one of those for SOTC.
Not sure if it's just different materials being selected or maybe SOTC was produced with a different workflow with less meetings.

It would be extremely funny (and probably actually useful) if I created a dictionary for Yomitan specifically for ICO and SOTC ahahaha
I highly recommend anyone who regularly encounters or reads Japanese but doesn't speak it install Yomitan for their browser. It's extremely useful to be able to hold shift over a word you aren't familiar with and get a definition + pronunciation.

People really underestimate how much of a tragedy Mono's story is.
Not only was this poor girl murdered (presumably by Emon) for the "crime" of being determined to have a cursed fate.

The SOTC community is one uniquely dedicated to cut content, more than any other fan base I'm aware of. Sometimes I wonder if it is a tragedy in a sense that perhaps SOTC retains a dedicated fan base not for the game that it is but rather for the game that it is not.

I wonder if the decision to have Dormin refer to themselves in the plural in the English translation comes from this line:
"我が名はドルミン…"
From what I understand, "我が" can refer to oneself in the singular but also as part of an group/organization.

It's extremely weird that throughout the entirety of Shadow of the Colossus these wooden planks in the tutorial area are the only wooden structure in the entire game. Everything else is stone and very small amounts of metal.

BluePoint adding random glowing collectibles all throughout the Ancient Lands like it's a fucking Rareware game was a travesty.
sotc one of the most praised games of all time & no-one learnt that it's ok to have a big empty world as long as you can find a pond with some fish in it, or a little gang of tortoises, or grab onto a bird for no reason if you line up a jump just right
