I wish we could get more public transport here. I live in a state with only 600,000 people or so, and the little public transit we do have is far less efficient than driving or biking. (Depending on where I'm going, I prefer my bike. I can chain up anywhere!)

IMO, reading below a 6th grade level here is like going to another country and not speaking the language. It isn't a deal breaker, but you could make things so much easier on yourself if you just made an effort to learn the language.

I trust what Zelensky (or politicians in mainland Europe) says a lot more than anything I hear from Trump or Putin.

That's true, but if enough people walk on it, pretty soon it gets tromped down to ice, which gets annoying. (I do a lot of walking.) If it's only half-an-inch and fluffy, well, different story.

I'm disabled. I got called a retard in school more than once. Every time the band teachers used the term "ritard" in class, everyone thought it was funny. This is personal. And since "retarded" means "slow learners" right back atcha, you obnoxious pricks!

Not even the coal union thinks coal is coming back. The only people who do are politicians. Meanwhile, my family is doing what we can to install more solar on the house with the addition of batteries, if only to defy the WY Freedom Caucus.

I'd be interested to see how that would play out where I live. The government here in WY (state and local) is all too willing to cooperate. OTOH, a lot of the local populace is not on board.
