Which Hardy cos I really don't think Jude is suitable for schools?

I did the Chaucer version - "ye haselwodes shaken". Took AI many attempts to find what I was talking about and I am doubtful of its translation.

I am incredibly fond of Macbeth which I did for Os and by the time of the exam I think I knew it word for word without intentionally memorising it. It surprises me how much of the text I remember because it springs to mind at certain events like the downfall of Thatcher, Boris etc etc

Like the time waiting for luggage (for ages) at Charles de Gaulle with just one other person - thinking looks familiar. Yep Omar Shariff eventually clicked but I am notably unobservant.

Alevel - Southey Life of Nelson (yawn), Scott Heart of Midlothian (not my fav). Others Byron, Keats, Austen, Bronte, Milton, Chaucer - all OK and Lear nowhere near as fond as I was of Macbeth at Olevel -

I saw Rylance as Olivia at the Globe and changed my mind about her as on reading it I always saw her as prissy but with Rylance not at all so

I hate The Iceman Cometh. This is not to do with the writer because I enjoyed Mourning Becomes Electra. Didn't read at school but because I read the Orestia (in trans) at school and it seemed lke a good idea.

When you put it that way....I hadn't thought about it like that. Excellent point.

The pod today was excellent. Levison were particularly enlightening and your final comments about the standards of public life in the US hit the nail very exactly

The mere mention of a "Humble Address" makes me think of Charles I and look what happened to him

I thought I should just say thank you for not charging a membership fee unlike others I could mention. Unfortunately, pockets just not wide enough to warrant the expenditure

Also remembering when 10 and we got a puppy but received no bill cos it turned out one of dad's clients bought him for us. Dad had to apply for special permission from top brass to keep him. I was distraught thinking we would lose him. Different world.

Remembering I was offered 3 bottles of champers by an agent because I used them to acquire flats for my organisation. Thanking but turning down for ethical reasons. We used them because were the only ones providing properties matching our requirements no other reason. I'm from a different world.

Old cliche - "how the other half......."

I don't follow fb but come from a family which support the other lot and at least they don't affect the parking outside my building

But I usually just use my PC or laptop attached to TV screen with HDMI cable.

I have always used Android boxes that do not have the Amazon restrictions. However, if you get a rooted one, it probably won't play Channel 4 and maybe others

Factory reset? Sounds like the problems I had with Windows 10 updates leading up to the stopping of support. Absolute nightmare.

I thought Ohio is a "red" state and large-scale ICE activity is happening in "blue" states. I still have to get my head round Red in the US being the conservative lot.

Ditch the cinnamon in rice pudding and add cardamon

I try to block out any recipes online that use cups on the basis that any cook worth their salt will at least provide grams and ml even if they have to add cups and sticks in brackets. And anyway US recipes seriously tend to have too much sugar.

I can't hear anything on my phone unless it is on speaker. That's why I don't make calls away from home and try not to answer them if out. Had to swap to an old Android phone that still allows me to plug in headphones when calls are really important. But then I am not glued to my phone.

Going through hell as managing agents have fixed the lock on the communal front door but failed to fix the entryphone meaning no longer open to the public at large but no way for outsiders to let us know they need to get in and trek down to the ground floor getting to much at my age

In my wildest dreams Mark Francois and Andrew Bridgen return to the obscurity they obviously deserve. I wish the same for BoJo so that I no longer have to listen to him.
