letterboxed review (written in alt)
"A quiet storm of emotions" is such a perfect summary of the movie. The little value placed on teachers in our society is a genuine crime against humanity; the hope they have for every ignorant human would light the whole world up if believed in and worked towards by the rest of world. Working around many different and various troubles and mental illnesses in children because they are still a part of society and can be the bright, active, innovative, and developer individuals would be the best thing we can work towards for an ever growing community. The message is loud and clear, the acting is -as expected- flawless and engaging, and the direction in general is great. Now that I've finished the movie (spoiler free) the poster is such a good work. Unexpected to have any meaning until you're done with it.

Googling how to not cry so hard rn. So incredibly confusing but it vaguely pieces itself together at the end, which is all done on purpose and they did a great job with it. I wish she could end up with Alice.. I’m so sad. Lastly, RIP Chisa.

I'm happy the movie turned out good for watching with my younger siblings as a last bonding attempt before I go
Enjoyed a lot especially with siblings. The comedic bits made it all the better especially amidst horror that had a good idea without relying on cheap jump scares, gore or loud sounds, which kept us engaged with the movie throughout all of it. I love Rod man he's the friend we all need

Rating 2.5/5 The story is really great, and is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars. The half is for costume and props, I absolutely love any movie despite it's genre when it's around a colorful, circus-like show or gameshow. However the acting wasn't great, the script was so corny, and the amount of times they could've killed him when he'd get so close to them made the whole captive situation feel pointless; no suspense or anxiety. This whole thing had amazing potential but fell in execution. However much I loved the story I have one thing to complain about. The scenario of faking being assaulted for a gain absolutely happens and is real; it ends lives permanently and leaves room for heavy guilt to accompany any humane liar who faked the assault story, but the way they tried to make us sympathize with him by showing us his entire story in one go after everything he did instead of splitting his story throughout or showing us the gist of it from the beginning felt like trying to justify demonizing actual assault victims.. This may be personal but it didn't sit well with me throughout the ending. I did like Jackie Earle Haley's acting though. Somebody called this a Saw knock-off and that's exactly what I called it when we were watching.

Made me cry. Short asf but it's so pretty and heartbreaking. They elaborated on 4 of the girls' romance but I was really interested in a third pair they introduced but never elaborated on. Super bittersweet but happy ending

Yuri, Very short I even hesitated putting it here but I will anyway. I always love the "closed open world" setting, like boarding schools. Feels nostalgic and bittersweet. This one is beautiful and really sad, just how I like it

Big review so I left it in the pics. Mads.. what a beautiful man
I knew this movie would have a serious plot, at least that's the vibes it gave; but I also thought it would be fun and have more action. Well I didn't know it was a Danish movie, so of course it ended up having that quiet, realistic, powerful story telling style. It had a powerful message that's often told to be over exaggerated and is overlooked, but this is as real as it gets. beautiful story telling, and beautiful acting. I watched it for Mads but he ended up just being the cherry on top, perfect movie for me. Of course Mads delivering that show at the end is driving me insane. It's so enjoyable on it's own From here onward my words contain major spoilers: Peter advising a student to drink to help with ANXIETY implicitly encourages alcoholism, but also isn't that the same student who claimed to drink 50-55 times a week? That's truly the worst scenario. I also want to note out that Martin starts drinking to get the people around him, friends and family, to be more at ease with him; to like him better, for him to be relaxed and joyous. Even his wife had been cheating on him. The touch of Tommy telling him to make up with her before his death and then her accepting the idea of trying to make it work again after his passing is nice! Now about Tommy's death.. They did it so well. I love when they do that in movies, not show you how it happens but leave you the image of the water moving the boat and the sun going down with him no longer on his boat, that it's indeed a sad thing and a loss but the world doesn't stop for even a part of a second for anyone.

I hate the aspect ratio but it was so good from all aspects. Dexter does too many psycho anime girl hand gestures and it forces me to pause and recompose myself. Love it, can't wait for s2 which will probably include the NY ripper, right?

Really fun to get into even if it's a little awkward. I love Deb n I'll nvr get bored of saying that! I love seeing details about Brain and Harry that were not said in the original series, for the obv reason that we got to know only what Dexter did

The cop himself is ass but so is the drug dealer, I wish the cop got what he had coming but this is much more on the realism side so I guess this makes sense. The only person I truly felt bad for is the cop who lost his daughter

The words got stuck in my throat and the tears in my eyes, and they refused to go down 🫠. This was a rollercoaster. I love Deb sm, and I feel bad for Harrison.. as for Dexter? Just wow. They always try to get us to see that if he doesn't kill, it's bad.

Didn't like what they did to Deb, especially the psychologist. Idk it feels like bs to me. Harrison can actually speak now which's cute, Quinn is pathetic as usual, and I like Hannah! Their chemistry <33. N LOVE Dex being backed into a corner so hard
