I fantasize about a world where stuff like this is encouraged through our urban design practices

"Vibbert said she ultimately agreed to take down her Facebook post because she feared losing her job and health insurance. She said she has a chronic illness."

Therein lies the rub

Yeah I dunno, people as an aggregate are very emotional. Vibes are contagious and you have to make policy with that in mind. Trees make people, as an aggregate, happier and more relaxed, that's worth taking into account when making and presenting policy

"logical" people usually forget that emotions are often based on actual logic, and that it always makes sense to include peoples feeling in your planning

I'm not a patriotic Canadian by any means but we make some excellent whiskies and I won't be sad if we never get Jack Daniels again.

The study of how other people view the world and the mechanics and best practices of how to analyze our own thoughts and world view is important. We're being led down a dark road by stupid ppl determined to avoid self reflection, wrong time to be scrapping the systematic study of critical thought.

I think they're very aware of what it's doing to science and research. it's a feature, not a bug
February 17, 2025 at 12:00 AM
Its not just about abolishing woke. It's about trashing everything that academics, scientists etc like. Ppl who believe in climate change think that articles about microbial population transitions are good, therefore those are bad. The 'anti woke'
part is how they sell it to the base
