I don't care if picking a remaster of an older game is cheating I put over 200 hours into Graces F Remastered and had a blast so imma pick it anyway fuck you. (but if I absolutely have to pick a game that released this years its probably Donkey Kong Bananza.)

Genuinely crazy to me that RGG would throw away a pretty great character design for the purpose of making the character look like the sex-pest of an actor they hired to do the new voice-work for them, genuinely think it may be one of the worst casting decisions I have seen a game make.

Wasn't Platinum only taking on a small helper role in the game anyway? because I very much doubt a Studio in that position could be responsible for making the decisions that caused FF16's deep issues.

Of course that thought could be because when I played the remaster I came away thinking it was good, but that the improvements were not really worth the price compared to the OG unless you wanted to play the game Co-op.

I'm a bit iffy on the OG System Shock 2 being made available only with the remaster soon, sure its better then when other companies pull a game for its remaster as you will still be able to get the OG, but given the higher price of the remaster it feels like a stealth price increase.

- In-battle subs code has been rewritten to display code in chat log style; no more disappearing subtitles.
- Geyorkias's subtitles now correctly map to the correct voice lines.
- Various typo and consistency fixes.

you know one misconception with a genre I really dislike is the idea that Metriodvanias all have long backtracking when the best ones are designed with such cleaver and intricate shortcuts that backtracking on foot is never a long process,

Honestly I think the Creature collector genre of games kinda has an issue where people let Pokemon dominate the conversation so much that they feel the need to bring it up to gas the games they like up regardless of how much sense it makes.

Your just reminding me about how when Monster Hunter Stories 2 came out I heard so many people saying "This should be what Pokemon is doing", then I played the game and realized the complaints about Pokemon being glorified R-P-S applied so much more to it.
