dear lord. science is in fact on the "sex is the gendering of the body" side and the emphasis on "binary biological sex" is basically the longest-running broscience derived from rough heuristics. maybe we need some philosophy of science so bad

see bisexuality as not a third thing between gay and straight (not Heterosexual™️) but a continuity between them that cannot be split apart like many a biphobe try to do? Doesn’t seem hard to me. And this is coming from a person who does still call relationships straight or gay/lesbian.

Unidirectional = gay or straight, bi+ ppl are multidirectionally attracted becuz we don’t go with just exclusively gay/straight. Anyways, I did agree with ur point. 🤷🏽‍♂️ My point, expanding, is that we have to fight that but not by folding bi+ ppl back into the binary. Would it not be easy to just-

In everyday life with ordinary people on the street or in the home, “hyper-gay” is still the standard classical perception and straight men still have a lot of anxiety about whether attraction to trans women makes THEM gay, and therefore less fully male.

There can be a lot of emphasis on the heteronormativity of transition care standards, like doctors insisting on conforming to heterosexual norms for trans people, but we shouldn’t make the mistake of acting like that context is universal or the most critical situation for trans people’s lives.
