I'm hyper independent, it's a trauma response. I'm aware of it, and work on it in therapy.

HOWEVER, if you choose to complain, the only time I have ever asked you for help in the years we've known each other? Please know I will never accept or ask for your help ever again.

The irony of people doing this fake virtue signaling (after an entire campaign rife with fainting spells over the cost of eggs), is that their political deity is famous for manufacturing his clothing outside the US and for failing to pay American contractors.

37 weeks tomorrow.

Contractions, although irregular, every day.

Final growth ultrasound, 9 month midwife appointment, counting down the days.

And yet, I'm refusing to pack my hospital bag.

The egg price crowd has been awfully quiet since the price of eggs nearly doubled on Trump's watch-- and the price of just about everything else is set to rise in the coming days and weeks.

Trump just launched a trade war against Canada over fentanyl. The US seized - wait for it - 43 pounds at the US-Canada border last year.

43 pounds.

While I'm glad I no longer have a human being in my lungs, this kid has shifted to my pelvis. Which feels like a bowling ball trying to escape from my vagina while having to pee every 5 minutes.

When Trump imposes tariffs on Colombian coffee, Colombian flowers, Colombian bananas and pineapples and avocados, on Colombian oil, it's us Americans who will pay those added costs. We're not even a week into Trump's term and he's already imposed a brand new tax on all of us.

Man, prepping for #college with a #gifted 13 year old is a whole different ballgame. Especially when she wants to major in chemistry, and eventually become a nuclear chemist.

This mama is OVERWHELMED.

Well it’s official. The Democratic Party have fumbled so badly that Trump officially gets credit for “saving” TT, and millions of voters will be lost to the far right for years.

Creating a problem just to solve it is political theatre. CREATING a problem just to SOLVE it is political theatre.

CREATING A PROBLEM JUST TO SOLVE IT IS POLITICAL THEATRE.

Y'all, prodromal labor is not for the weak. I swear, this baby is going to Stargate his way out of my vagina come labor and delivery time.

My body, every day, "Would you like some contractions?"

Me, "Only if it means I'm going into labor."

Body, "Well, here are some irregular contractions."

I cannot express clearly enough, if you have any hang-ups about boobs - don't come to my house postpartum. Breastfeeding is a learning curve without additional pressure or shame from family.

Obsessed with Stokke's Tripp Trapp high chair, especially with their infant cushion that starts at 6 months for independent sitters. I have gotten weirdly bougie with this last baby.

People wrongfully assume it's hard to sleep when you have a newborn. I will take newborn sleep over third trimester sleep. Like, at least then I can sleep on my back, my stomach, my whatever without having to pee every 20 minutes.

It's wild to me how much baby gear has changed, adapted, and evolved in the last 10 years since I was pregnant with E.
