Targeted voter suppression is a marginal effect, which no one is arguing won’t happen. And no, it does not cause the same chain of outcomes, because it can be overcome through organizing and turnout.

And if trump “decrees” fraud, then we can have that fight when seating members, but it’s different

Thanks Randy! Is there anything you can do to no longer accept ad placements for federal agencies that are terrorizing Americans? If you’ve already done that and I missed it, my apologies.

I mean can you avoid it when those people vote too?

Your argument applies only to individual assertions of either cost of living or immigration related messages. When you haphazardly combine them it feels fake and backfires, so the polling on them individually may not be relevant

The original across the board 50g protein DV was criminally low for anyone who’s remotely active, no? I thought there was non-chud evidence for 0.7g/lb of bodyweight protein intake for active people.

Can you go scorched earth on him please? Would be a great read. Fine to wait for maximum impact.

This may be true for superusers like yourself, but the unpleasant revolutionaries don’t pre-block infrequent or non-posters. Those people are very much in the replies saying vile things. I think the boomers are the ones who simply can’t read and misinterpret everything.

I think a lot of people convinced themselves 15 years ago that conserving water was a big important environmental thing (for most people in the US, it’s just not), so it’s natural that would catch on.

That is to say, racing without the pressure to perform is still really nice, and I wouldn’t discount it just because it used to be stressful

I agree with this, but I still love the exhilaration of an all-out mile. Club running in college was the best of both worlds since I could train well and push myself without the stress of actually caring about performance

Do they think cities just steal resources? Do we not pay the rurals for the stuff?
December 28, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Oh and in the campaign case you may be indirectly buying a vote, too. Even if Stancil is right that it’s an inefficient way of garnering votes, the mechanism works by way of giving people stuff, which makes them like you more, translating to some votes.

Case 1: you receive indirect personal benefit from your mistress liking you more.

Case 2: you receive indirect personal benefit from the “warm glow” of giving to someone in need.

Would it be a more reasonable thing for national or state democratic parties to spin up charitable organizations? Or even things like below-cost cafeterias that serve as third spaces?

Agreed. That GLP1s work by reducing hunger signals also belies the argument that obesity comes from metabolic differences holding caloric intake constant, or that “calories in/out” is false. Some people have different hunger signals, and it’s wonderful that we now have a treatment to control them.

Solution: make men teach more and let women focus on important research

What period of time and how is this relevant?
