Well I do believe that. But the question is how long is the dogs leash. And I do think nobody knows that, we are all fooled by recency bias and to me that means I need to work extra hard in selecting good businesses and holding powder. Even if that means I will under-perform for some X years.

Personally I never got the "up and to the right" thing. We have such a small sample size. In the longer history there were many times of a whole life of sideways movement and even decline.
What gives you the conviction that tomorrow 30 years of sideways movement is not starting?
