Stingrays are cartilaginous fish with over 200 species varying in size; larger ones can grow up to 6.5 feet and weigh nearly 800lb. Closely related to sharks, born fully developed.
They have electroreceptors to help find prey, and use their venomous tail barbs for self-defence.
