False accusations are far and few between, and the nebulous realm of shadow-wars and shadow-boxing are more effective. Callouts of rape are treated as carceral in some lefty spaces, for Hashem's sake.

So why not believe victims? KYLR. This article was an amazing read!

People online will literally stone each other over CRINGE, accusations of cringe, or passive-aggressive "Oh you hang with them? Oh, wow...", far more easily and aggressively than any accusation of Rape online.

Calling someone a poseur is a more stinging barb than racist in many spaces online.

A common knee-jerk reaction to slogans like Kill Your Local Rapist is "should we believe every accusation?? And follow with lethal force???". Obviously not. I've never had the language to say why not, and it's that there are FAR MORE EFFECTIVE means of calling-out than rape.

Rape culture - I know this term is radioactive, the "background radiation of rape in our society" whatever - is so pervasive that callouts tend to be much more about social capital (and power dynamics) rather than trying to do the right thing.

True! They're all just probabilities friends, just pick one and stick on your own two feet

I like to think if I meet the Buddha on the road I could chill it out and have a beer with him
