Oh and eggs.

Woah that is completely different! My grandmother’s recipe for noodle kugel was noodles, pecans, brown sugar, and butter(might be missing something minor but that’s the gist).
December 19, 2025 at 3:21 PM
I didn’t know people put fruit in kugel. Or cheese in sweet kugel. Ive never had a kugel like that.

These are pronounced the same in certain accents.

Not but “dog” is fish in Hebrew, for whatever that’s worth.

What does the fire extinguisher mean?

Yeah I definitely agree, I just think that you can't even really have the conversation of if or how to implement it without universal free healthcare.
December 17, 2025 at 5:28 PM
I don’t think you can ethically have MAiD without universal free healthcare. The undue influence of “you’ll have to pay for treatments if you keep living” makes it impossible to have true informed consent.

Not really, it's a rule we follow because God says so. It's in the category of rules that aren't derivable except because the Torah says so (as opposed to something like Don't Murder which one could figure out with God saying so).
December 17, 2025 at 4:55 AM
The torah says not to cook a kid (baby goat) in it's mother milk.

Also the reason we don't eat pork is that the Torah says not to eat animals (land mammals) that don't both chew cud and have cloven hooves (which pigs don't have). The trichinosis thing is a modern guess that doesn't make sense.

Potato Latkes appear at the same time that frying in schmaltz became popular because you can't fry cheese latkes in schmaltz

Yes what he did was brave and good. But two Jews died doing the exact same thing before him and almost nobody is mentioning them. There is almost no talk about the other victims either. Outside Jewish spaces the focus is entirely on this one guy.
December 16, 2025 at 2:46 PM
He wasn’t even the only one to try and stop the shooters, two people tried to wrestle the gun from the shooters before him and one even succeeded before both were killed.

Don’t you think it’s a little weird that almost no one’s talking about the two Jews who died doing the same thing as Ahmed?
December 16, 2025 at 2:08 PM
There a difference between talking about him and only talking about him. There have at least a dozen posts on the front page of Reddit about him and I’ve not seen a single one about any of the victims.
December 16, 2025 at 2:01 PM
I also feel like a lot of gentiles are latching on to him to avoid talking about the actual antisemitic attack. The way I’ve seen non-Jews talk about it you’d think no one had died.

This reminds me of how happy my dad was when he found and successfully restored a recording of my great grandfather speaking so my brothers and I could finally hear the thick Hungarian accent he had been initiating our whole lives.

Latkes were originally made with cheese

I think AI is also just generally not good at sets of straight lines. This one doesn't have it but a lot of them end up looking like the bar optical illusion.
December 12, 2025 at 9:40 PM
Wow it's crazy how hard menorahs are for AI
