The hardest part for me is breaking a streak usually means my hyperfocus gets snapped too! So I downplay that part a LOT.

I try to zero in on it as part of my daily care, like taking my Vyvanse or whatever. It's not for any other reason than to help me that day. No expectations or commitments!

I try to attach rewards/task chains to my workouts, and I also add movies/shows/audiobooks to my cardio.

The most important thing is, imho, reframing it. Not as "I'm on a journey" or "a new habit," but being kind to yourself and saying "I'm doing something good today, and I'll celebrate it after."
