Mine plays great but I wouldn't buy another one unless I was willing to spend 1000 plus.
Oh another interesting Ibanez decipher: If the model is called RG###, it has a standard headstock but if its RGR### the second R stands for Reversed Headstock.

Its "Eye Buh Nez". I know this because I pronounced it the way you said and everybody at guitar center laughed at me. Mocked before they even heard me play master of puppets in the store :(

I have an RG5EX1. My understanding is that its like "RG" then "5" means mid-tier, and the rest is gibberish.
