I know that I want it to be dramatic while still being accurate, and visually very stunning. I plan to direct it as well. :)

I haven’t solidified the story quite yet, but it’s set in a small (fictional) Russian ballet company and some of the “drama” is based on the scandals in my local ballet company. In the first half of the film, the company is doing Giselle and in the 2nd half, they’ll do Don Quixote

That’s gorgeous! I design and make ballet costumes too, so this is very fun to see.

That’s amazing! I love ballet, but I definitely couldn’t write one myself. This film is a bit more along the lines of Black Swan (but more accurate)… if you don’t mind a kind of dark depiction of ballet, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the script when it’s done. :)
