Looks great! One of the most exciting developments in law & society is how much more international it's become in recent years, and it's great to see that reflected in the field's top journals.

PSA: The new editors of LSR start reviewing *newly submitted* manuscripts starting in one month (Sept. 15). We (old editors) will continue to review manuscripts we sent out for peer review, but we will stop reviewing new manuscripts. @lawandsociety.bsky.social

Haven't read @ashleytrubin.bsky.social's article yet, but disagree with her at least 70% here. I do think there is a problem with sociologists confusing politics for theory (and thus above scientific critique), but I don't think they shouldn't do politics, and radicals don't cause authoritarianism

Thanks for posting! And I appreciate your guidance to the field on how to do politics well. We don't talk enough about that and the result has not been good.

Attn LSA folks, there are two levels to the lobby so if you're scheduling meet-ups in the lobby, choose floor 1 or 2. @lawandsociety.bsky.social

Something I don't think I say in any of my advice, bc it's more aimed at established/senior scholars: if you're meeting a junior scholar for coffee, you buy their coffee. I'm always surprised to hear when folks don't do this. I don't care if the jr person asked for the meeting. We treat them.
