Got my prints from the 2025 Emerald Print Exchange, run by the lovely folks at Whiteaker Printmakers! I threw in a sidelight to better show the detail in the embossed print, center left. They also have a reverse auction of one print from each submission, so I'll add the details later!

An array of 10 prints, mostly linocuts, with a couple of screenprints. The prints are in three rows. The top row has four prints, depicting, left to right, a small sparro, a peacock staring at its reflection, a blue turtle and a cactus. The second row has two prints, an embossed snake and a screenprint of a mountain range. The bottom row has four prints, an audio cassette with the unspooled tape in the shape of a heart, a dramatic owl, a serpent and a colorful tree.

Left hand side is the original image, just inverted, no adjustment curve at all. Looks pretty good, maybe a little contrasty.
Right hand side is after applying a preliminary curve using Peter Mrhar's Easy Digital Negatives process. I dunno if you can tell from the photo, but it is smooove.

So, the details. A single print using Dr. Ware's New Cyanotype. I omitted the ammonium dichromate from the recipe, 'cause it said optional. Seems to be fine.

Exposed for 3:30min using a UV lamp from Amazon. (DM if you want the specs).

Washed with 1% HCL solution for 30s (10cc HCL/Liter of water)

I didn't really have it in me to post the past couple of weeks, just felt pretty bummed about ... you know, everything.

Anyway, I've been experimenting with Dr. Mike Ware's New #Cyanotype, and dammit, I'm a believer! Here's a recent test. Details in the comments.

Not sure what these pods are called, or even the bush they're on, but there sure were a lot of them in the neighborhood I lived in at the time. Cyanotype toned with yerba mate, on Canson XL paper.

Titmice (titmouses?) at Walnut Creek park, Austin, TX. Cyanotype on Canson XL. You can see my pencil marks for negative placement - I wanted the sensitized area to be smaller than the image area. I missed a little on the top.
