These programs are federally funded through the Vaccines for Children Program (all 50 states participate) and through 317 funding. Local public health departments in other states would have information on eligibility and where to get free vaccinations.

Many people have advantage plans though, and they should be aware that they supposed to cover vaccines, including the Shingles vaccine. If they are deinied, they should appeal.

Agreed! I think they are predatory. I would always recommend Med A, B, and D over an advantage plan.

Some vaccines are covered under Medicare Part B (such flu and COVID-19) and some are covered by Medicare Part D (such as Shingles & RSV vaccines). Someone with orginal Medicare (parts A & B) but not Part D would not have coverage for the Shingles vaccine. Advantage plans should cover Shingles vax.
