Little warmup tonight before sitting down to work. I like the smaller head characterization going on, much more fresh and immediate. Still working out a non conte solution for newsprint, this was done with a fat cretacolor crayon.

I’ve been watching @justindonaldson.bsky.social paint recently on his videos, and noticed how much he uses mop brushes and decided to give them a go.
Holy cow I did not expect these to be game changers. I never used mop brushes before and they’re great for block ins and glazes.

Excited to share the medal design I did for the U.S. Mint's Semiquincentennial Program that comes out next year! I designed the companion medal for the Walking Liberty quarter and I'm thrilled with how the sculpt came out. I can't wait to see it in person!

Been busy with stuff here and there, mostly life stuff, but I took a moment to revisit my allosaurus and rework some textures a little and put proper eyes in it. I started to work on a stegosaurus recently, not sure what the end game is but I’ll probably do something with both

“St. George and the Dragon” gouache, watercolor, colored pencil. Done for the Enchanted Brush group exhibition organized by Dan Chudzinski for Mazza Museum in Findlay, Ohio. The show runs until June 16-August 29th, so check it out if you’re in the area! Full process up on my patreon
