We learned about Eri silk, natural dyes, and everything needed to get the loom set up and start weaving. I’ll have the energy one of these days to go through all my videos and share them ♥️

I asked my dad and grandma almost two years ago that I wanted to learn how to weave and thanks to them I was able to learn in Khon Kaen, Isan region of Thailand, where my family is from 🥹

This week I made wojape and roasted vegetables from the Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen book. I had to tweak the recipe slightly with the ingredients available but it was still delicious!

It was wild to see the volcanic eruption while leaving Iceland and knowing that we were just in that Blue Lagoon parking lot last week. Wonder what it would’ve been like evacuating with @tonjohn.bsky.social in crutches 😅
