I'm a science and medical writer curious about the world. I like to share what I find out. I also write for kids, teens and specialty audiences. Remember Ask Pippa in the Toronto Star? That's me. Also Medscape, Medical Post, CHN, Globe&Mail, Vice, etc
I guess the ones in Fahrenheit just aren't as good. Then there are the Kelvin ones... <hehe>

Such a bad idea for so many reasons. Lots of things can get in way of the beams, and there are lots of things they can interfere with. Ask some atmospheric scientists, pilots and astronomers why.

Too bad it works out that way. Reading the chapters should be homework, so class time can be spend teaching lit interpretation, grammar, etc. It makes one wonder if they are doing homework for other classes. There may also be other issues going on undetected, like vision problems, dyslexia, etc..

In high school we had to read 4 or 5 books each year (2-3 novels each term). We did essays, book reports and presentations. And yes they were on exams. Plus there was 1 Shakespeare play each year, and some poetry and grammar in the mix. And yes, a public high school which still demands the same.

Funny how part-time can sneak into full-time, but with part-time pay.

In many places (not Ontario) people pay deposits for pop/soda cans and bottles, and grocery stores accept the returns. Why is it so hard to do this for alcohol containers too? #reuse #recycle
