I remember RDR 2. Its development cost was astronomical, but it looks amazing. Even on the PS4 in 2018, it looked phenomenal. Not everyone can afford such expenses.
The console market is huge, but quality suffers due to closed platforms, limiting modding and enhancements. Evolution kinda stuck.

Of course, it wasn’t just naked Cyberpunk 2077 — mods, path tracing enabled, and running on a 4090.
