I was proud to recognize Chief Warrant Officer 2 (Ret.) Emby Gonzalez as our AD40 Veteran of the Year. After 21 years in the Marine Corps, Emby continues her service as a VSO — helping veterans and their families access the benefits they earned with compassion, dedication, and care.

Thank you to Kiza and Richard for organizing this event and for bringing our community together and thank you to everyone who continues to choose compassion for our shelter pets. 🐾🧡

They show up every single day with so much heart. From medical care and socialization to emergency response during wildfire season, they are doing lifesaving work for our furry friends.
