I found sometimes doing work without making a stream is a good thing to do because I can surf the internet while I wait for Claude Code to write some spaghetti for me

That unfortunately is the essence of capitalism. But it doesn’t mean we can’t do better.

Also, I wonder how the philosophy of open source applies to this question.

It would be interesting to brainstorm an AI system or mechanism that was ethical, ie fairy compensated those who wrote the code it trained on. Bearing in mind that at the present time, AI companies are losing gigantic amounts of money.

To put it another way: pizzagate inoculated the base against epsteingate

One effect of engineering a conspiracy theory about powerful people being pedophiles when they obviously weren’t, is that it makes revelations about powerful people who obviously were pedophiles look like conspiracy theories 🧐

I think he’d agree, and I’d expect him to be better prepared next time.

I think it’s fair to expect the leader of a national party proposing to solve everything through a wealth tax, to demonstrate command of the numbers.

This one www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis... I usually stop watching out of embarrassment for politicians I like, and I admit I did that on this occasion

It gave me the impression (however wrong) is that he could do with some firming up of his grasp of the actual numbers. But I think that’s secondary to his clear demonstration of inspirational leadership. Although at some point the rent will come due, and he needs to be ready.

No, I mean I’m supportive of Zack, but if you rewatch the interview it wasn’t particularly a gotcha interview - she brought up the example of Spain’s wealth tax, and asked if he knew what the numbers were, and he didn’t. And he fessed up (good) but he should have known them. Room for improvement.
November 9, 2025 at 4:35 PM
No, they won’t. To me at least, that’s obvious. The question is, can the Greens? I watched his Kuenssberg interview and was a tad disappointed that he seemed not to have done his homework. There is time for that, however.

Speaking for myself, I’m impressed with Zack - he demonstrates that generational change is necessary for the older parties if they want to meet the challenge of Reform. The question is - which is the more likely route to saving democracy? I’m not sure it’s obvious yet.

Loses a bit of momentum in ep 2 but still head and shoulders above anything else that’s out
