his reason for making a pact in general felt a lot more human too like he was young and was driven by retributive justice and had low self worth i thought the text was priming his arc to be "f what others think there's still honour in doing heroism in your own way even if it isn't huge like u want"

i've lost count of how many hour-long diatribes i gave to anyone who would listen about how superior his ea writing was compared to 1.0 i will never forgive 5e fans for calling him shitty for the same reasons they praised astarion and gale and scaring larian into scrubbing him of those flaws

ever notice how a lot of poc companion characters in games are relegated to being paragons of virtue and the few that do get to be complicated get overlooked or vilified in a roster otherwise praised for their flaws

wenduag rocks, i’m glad her learning to open up and be more tempered by the end doesn’t come at the expense of invalidating all her core values and personal insecurities it feels more realistic

didn’t rlly like him until ch. 4, but also the concept of a western fantasy white boy who sounds like hes from wisconsin and does wing chun despite spending most of his life literally under a rock has so little ground in logic it’s kind of camp. i wish i had that kind of confidence in my own writing
