The second one is waaaaay more interesting. Less combat, much more puzzly. Disentangling the world is a lot of fun.

My understanding is that it was cut for performance reasons, the 360 and ps3 weren't able to handle it. Sotfs brings a lot of it back although it's still not as integral as it was probably supposed to be.
