i'm researching for my lumita/ultima breakdown lore and there so many prototypes. there's apparently some unknown amount between warrior/beast into proto-ultima and i'm like

lahabrea pretty much kept her in a secret location in azys lla when the allagans decided she was of no use to them given her being too human in her approach to battle, but had plans to reawaken her when the time was right. even with her memories lost though, the world was so different to her.

to put lumita's age in a timeline, she is /technically/ over 5000, but she spent huge amounts of time in stasis. would say she spent a few decades under experimentation then went under stasis, then was "reborn" as an amnesiac (explosion destroyed her chamber) around the rise of the garlean empire.

it was heartbreaking at that for her, because it was this horrific combo of the worst possible ways to experiment on someone and garlemald even goes so far as to make them entirely into the will of the designed target memories (something lumita managed to evade due to her being allag's first try)

something i took in mind for lumita's werlyt arc is the garleans were actually trying to mix her method of creation /and/ the ultima weapon schematics. so while she was made with ultima's auracite and power (plus azem), the way garlemald was doing it was like second best in mind (nael etc)

there aren't many moments where i put big feelings into this guy but this is one of them, he really snuck into sharlayan just to see her (cid helped. he did it for lumi though and because it would make allie happy)

when lumita returns from ultima thule gaius hears of it from ironworks chatter and allie is like "i heard she was on the brink of death" and at first he's like "well she's tough she can weather anything" but then the more he thinks about it the more worried he gets so he rushes to sharlayan like

gaius should be humble and grateful that she's kicked his ass multiple times. wtf some guys get all the luck. 😔
