The little girl with the orange blaze is Caramel. She crawled up between our screen door and front door meowing for warmth at 6 weeks old a few years ago. The dark brown tabby floof is Happy and she showed up outside our house and charmed my dad into loving her. We're working on her weight.

Jeez I don't remember exactly but I know I picked up Hobbit in middle school, so around 11-14. Picked up Lord of the Rings in high school and Silmarillion when I was around 18. It's been a lifelong love affair with Middle Earth.
