Sadly, it's Nintendo, so there is no way in *hell* I could even approach this idea the way I'd want to, having a 3D Yoshi racer that doesn't take itself too seriously, runs smoothly, and doesn't have stupid baby toy instruments in the OST or "The Main Theme" remixed forever. It's a dream though.

I'd purposely tune it so that even a Yosh with the "best" gear possible could still be beaten by a skilled player with no gear at all, thereby making it more about cosmetics than gameplay altering upgrades. Also Boshi would be there, because he must be. He loves racing. :P

The Yoshis would be customizeable. Custom colors, custom boots/saddles/etc. Being a Yoshi fan, I know what the other Yoshi fans want, and trust me, I got you. The twist being, the equipment you'd get (buying with in game currency won through gameplay) would affect stats; however...

Having played Kirby: Air Riders recently, having missed Air Ride on the GCN, it's *that* kind of vibe, but Yoshi. Frantic, yet easy to pick up and with a high skill ceiling for those committed. As cool as City Trial is (and it is), I'd be more focused on getting great lap times and whatnot.

... Like... physical filters you put in front of the lens. They're not too spendy, but just like there are special sunglasses you can wear for solar eclipses, they make the same stuff for camera lenses.
