As part of federal elections, people are voting for a local MP that could go on to help form a national government. At this point though it is just "do you want a liberal or teal representing you in parliament" if it went to a supplementary election. Bradfield can't change the government outcome.

The size of the Israeli campaign this year is a direct proof of one thing - Israel should no longer be part of EBU. Israel doesn't have free media, their broadcaster is a part of propaganda, and they're not eligible for Eurovision. They're putting every single artist between a rock and a hard place.
