ahah yeah, Duolingo is a terrible app to learn a language tbh. If you are serious about learning Japanese, I recommend みんなの日本語 (minna no nihongo) series, which are the textbooks used in Japan to teach foreigners Japanese.

Japanese is read right to left. The correct sentence and spelling is "sofutowea enjinia gaidobukku" (ソフトウェアエンジニア ガイドブック) . Beautiful language indeed.

Quartz requires some configuration and customization, but it’s easy and well-documented. I’m still working on the design, but it’s good enough for writing new articles. My blog is also linked to my portfolio.

Recently, I explored @obsidian.md for note-taking and found #Quartz, a website builder integrated with Obsidian. I can now write articles in Markdown and push to @github.com directly from my phone or laptop.

Initially, I used #HTML, then #Next.js for my portfolio website, but it was impractical as I needed to format content in a text editor. GitBook was more convenient, but I still had to log in to a website to write articles.

Been working on Capski, #CLI tool that converts any audio/video into a fully styled MP4 with real-time, karaoke-style subtitles.

- Built in #Rust using #ffmpeg + #whisper-rs
- Translate non-English audio → English subs
- Fully customizable styles via JSON

« Real world impact » man. Those 3 words are thrown around like it doesn’t mean anything anymore. Having AI doing stuff for you on your computer (book stuff, reminders, etc) ain’t much a real world impact. It’s just an assistant for more and more lazy people (not talking about privacy nightmare).

Happy to read that you have someone else working with you now and not alone. Keep grinding.

I heard that if you’re using AI you will be more productive and increase your 10k performance… 😂
