Armenia, represented by H.E. Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment, and @unbiodiversity.bsky.social signed the Host Government Agreement for #COP17Armenia (Oct 2026) in Yerevan.

Business action as part of a whole-of-society endeavour is crucial for the implementation of the 23 #KMGBF targets.

At #UNGA I had the opportunity to discuss with Carlos Manuel Rodriguez, CEO of @thegef.bsky.social, avenues for stepping up biodiversity finance for the accelerated implementation of the #KMGBF.

As we approach the global review of progress at COP17 in Yerevan, the GEF's support will be vital.

Ahead of #COP30 of the UNFCCC and the triple-COP year for the Rio Conventions in 2026, Parties are discussing practical ways of forging synergies in planning and implementation. This was the focus of the High-Level Roundtable on "Unlocking a Resilient Future: Climate and Nature Synergies" at #UNGA.
