As a man in my 60s now, I can honestly point to my participation in the Award as a catalyst for whatever contributions I have made to our great Country. 3/3

As a shy, introverted young man, the award gave me the confidence and the knowledge that I could succeed through the application of work, time, and commitment. I commented to a stranger the other day that I was quite shy. His response to me was that he thought I was anything but shy. 2/3

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Canada has been making a real difference in many young persons' lives for decades now. As for me, my participation in the Award challenged me to step outside my range of interests in order for me to complete the Award. 1/3
