And not to be a little sap, but burning so much energy on Big Professional Projects last year, I am so, so deeply enjoying dedicating the same intensity of purpose to something as silly as my insane phalanx of squirrel tokens. God bless them every one

What’s the ending to this story? Jokes on you sucker - I’m still at it! I will draw squirrels every day until I don’t want to anymore. So far I’ve tested six different border styles for a print run. I’m currently drawing terrible elf tokens as a gift, and beasts are next. Beasts are next!!

After a couple of days I have over eighty squirrels tokens, so I start drawing squirrel-themed treasure, food, and clue tokens. At this point i accept that I might like drawing squirrels more than I like playing magic the gathering. My favourite is the telephone wire squirrel

I decide to draw tokens ahead of a scheduled game - to refine the bit! I research a range of squirrel genus for my 1/1 tokens. I find myself saying things like “so fascinating that prairie dogs are ground squirrels,” to which everyone says “what’s a prairie dog.” I also make impostors
