- if you suspect someone (or a pet, we did this with a dog once that fell into a freezing river) has hypothermia, warming them up gently, starting with the core, is key. Heating pads, hot water bottles, warm drinks, and if you need to, a warm (not hot) bath with all extremities outside the tub.

- if you get stuck and don't have kitty litter, the floor mats from your car can be wedged under your tires to give you more traction. Spinning tires will just polish the snow/ice, resist the urge
- Alcohol feels warm but thins your blood and can lead to increased hypothermia risk

People are scared. People living in a country where POC can no longer exist in public, and are occupied by their own army, are terrified. People who live along a border & would likely be decimated in ten minutes if war is declared are terrified. Anyone who knows anything about history is terrified.
