Also, you can increase the height at the front by getting a strip perspex cut at your local plastics place so you can open the door without the bedding falling out ^^

If you do re-use it, I might suggest sealing the inner edges with silicone to prevent urine from soaking into the raw edges and expanding the wood (if you haven't done that already).
You probably has something to stop the door from being accidentally slid open but if not, I use little rubber wedges.
