I'm seeing it still in my circles though I think it's mainly because of the strong character designs. It's still a good game but takes more from Legends Arceus than SV but with weaker exploration and a lot of unvoiced dialogue. The new combat is pretty solid once you wrap your head around it.

It also looks like it took some design cues from Korrina herself. It doesn't have her ponytail persay but, the twintails along with the strand of hair infront resembles her X and Y design and it looks like it has shorts like Korrina.

Soul Calibur 3 is supposed to come out next month on PS+ too but yeah, I think Bandai Namco is treating it like their other legacy games.

The converse side is Nokotan which was on multiple services but initially had AI translation. So it doesn't help when the IP holders are very willing to give up on quality.

There's a free trial until December 2. It's only 15% off on PC though as far as I can see

Looking at their financials, mobile is down significantly to about 35% in revenue and 25% in Operating Income from 2 years ago. OI is up from last year but they clearly wrote down a bunch of in process titles and ended a ton of ongoing games.

Basically looks like they are trying to make the backgrounds look realistic for some reason. Like I get a bit of 428 vibes from the new one.

Square Enix wasn't alone too. Bandai Namco mentioned they canceled a few too. It looked like a bunch of Japanese publishers tightened their belts last year

That's every game on the list though. Like maybe Clair Obscur was longer but that's more because no one heard of the game before launch so it was like happening each week.

It's more that Walmart just forgets about the small stock numbers remaining. It doesn't go down in price since Nintendo doesn't do buybacks so, there's nothing to encourage price cuts after the year after launch. And since games don't take a huge amount of space, it gets left on the shelf

From what I understand, it was a complete reboot of the project by Retro, from their own pitch after showing a remaster project for the original trilogy. I assume someone has the story of the Bandai Namco version, they are just waiting for the game to come out.
