Having said that, I (and I believe multiple other commissioners) have asked that the superintendent take actions to close off parking lots where ICE has been staging & agitating in our vulnerable communities.

I have also asked that we treat these actions like any other hotspot of unlawful activity-

I feel our park officers should be stationed nearby to observe and protect community members from violence. This has been communicated to the superintendent directly. I know there was a meeting with staff regarding this today, and I anticipate more updates tomorrow.
