In Houston today for a test flight of NASA’s WB-57F with the SAMI instrument — a multispectral camera suite measuring nine bands of visible and infrared light — that we’ll use to observe the total solar eclipse in just 12 days, on April 8! I can’t wait for this unique and exciting mission! 🧪🔭⚛️

In Houston today for a test flight of NASA’s WB-57F with the SAMI instrument — a multispectral camera suite measuring nine bands of visible and infrared light — that we’ll use to observe the total solar eclipse in just 12 days, on April 8! I can’t wait for this unique and exciting mission! 🧪🔭⚛️
After training, these stations are going to our teams in Texas to practice and use on eclipse day, then to keep in their communities as a lasting resource!
