On October 4, 2025 ICE personnel in Chicago shot into a vehicle striking Marimar Martinez five times. Federal charges were all later dismissed against Martinez when none of the allegations in their complaint could be proven.

The FCC is supposed to police the radio spectrum. That’s it. By law, it has no say in the content of broadcasters. It is to ensure that anyone who is transmitting serves the public interest, but that public interest is mostly confined to making sure that everyone stays within their assigned bandwidth.
