Human interest stories and op-eds. Hearing about the dealer and operator side of things. Player stories which covers women focused articles as well. Add a bit of history in there. How things used to be in poker and media…warts and all.

Instead of taking care of himself now that he’s older he wants to whine. He’s known more for eating than playing these days. It’s the main, it’s a special grind and has been for the last 20 years. You have to be at your best. A guy won at 55 in 2019, Doyle went deep at 79. It catches up, be better

It’s been that way for a long time. If anything it’s easier today as they don’t do the “play til 7am” FT or final 9 days. 10 hrs and out. Phil didn’t say anything about back then as he watched others struggle. Father Time has caught up so he wants things to change for him now that Doyle is gone.

The feeling of getting that buzz is rare at 46, it’s all been done. I think the key is just having your stupid thing that your into and running with that. I live right next to train hobby shop and when I drive by it I think “is today they day I become basement train guy” not yet…but it’s coming.

I’m in Michigan. It’s an odd thing here. In 2024 we lost two card rooms in Detroit leaving MGM Detroit the only game in the city. But one of the biggest stops on the MSPT is in Michigan on the west side of the state.
