Have you tried cryptic crosswords? I’d recommend starting with www.minutecryptic.com, which has hints and daily video explanations breaking down the clues, and then trying The Times Cryptic Crossword books (there are many). crosshare.org has user-generated crosswords of all types as well. Enjoy!
