LOOK BABIES! This widespread species live from sea level to more than 10,000 feet across the Western Coast of North America. Females lay their eggs in calm ponds, usually atatched to vegetation, like on the picture bellow.

From the family Rhacophoridae, this species is a good example their horizontal pupils and their flattened skuls, and shows of an amazing inguinal pattern 🐸🧪. This particular species occurs in Taiwan 🇹🇼

A sad tale in herpethology are species know only from the holotypes and paratypes, with some been declared extinct and never recorded again. This little guy is an example of it, considered Endangered, is know from only one specimen in Madagasgar. 🐸🧪

I really do not appreciate sitting frogs in pictures. They always seem to be in pain and anatomically it make sense! Like, they are sitting on their vertebrae, not treir pelvis

Oh this is a nice one! "A. barbouri was called the stream form of A. texanum (Petranka 1982). This is in reference to their habitat, where A. texanum inhabits pond areas and A. barbouri inhabits stream areas." Nice example of if there is one species, there can be two (but Vice-Versa is also true...)

Espécie endêmica dos campos rupestres de altitude na Chapada Diamantina 🇧🇷, L. oreomantis é classificada no SALVE como menos preocupante (LC). Espécie pequena e esguia com canto característico (não localizei o audio original), é difereciada pela presença de 3 pares de cristas dorsolaterais. 🐸

This very interesting species occurs in Borneo and is formally described only in its type locality, in a 2013 paper. Having that sad, apparently they have been ID for all the island, and this Inat observation supposedly captured its twittering (ironic?) call. www.inaturalist.org/observations...

This arboreal salamanders from the family Plethodontidae are lungless, and arboreal!! They are exclusive to México and occur in leaves of banana plants and arboreal bromeliads. Interestingly, this genus have a characteristic webbed flat foot that I had never seen before in salamanders 🐍🐸
