I'm very tempted to buy into the Wood Elves as when I played WHFB (Early 2000's) Wood Elves were by far my favourite army and the one I collected the most. I think these models were 4th Edition?

I don't think they did look out of step. They looked a good mix of Eastern and Western influences of fashion, armours, weapons and tactics. The general "look" of the Byzantine army changed dramatically over time. A few pics of mini's from my collection over the last 20 years to illustrate.....
